The Pitbull 57 Chevy Signature Guitar
Out of the blue, a fella from Florida contacted me. Josh "The Pitbull of Blues" Rowand, was his name.
Josh an incredible blues guitarist from Florida, has been chosen for many years to represent his state in one of the worlds most iconic blues competitions, The Memphis Blues Challenge.
Josh wanted to order a very special 57 Chevy Alikat. It was to have Seymour Duncan pickups, P rails Hot Rails, all contolled by a 5 way switch and just one volume and one tone. However that was not it, he introduced me to Seymours tripple shot pickup surrounds. Each surround had 2 micro switches taking it in and out of phase, this gave the guitar over 15 completely different sounds. Josh later said he had every sound from a Gibson to a Gretsch, and from a Fender to a Les Paul.
I said to Josh, as this is a first for this set up, lets make it your signature guitar and call it the Pitbull Chevy.
I have made several Pitbulls in natural aluminium finish since then.
