2012 was the start of a string of interest from the media.Firstly The International Guitar festival needed a picture to go in Adelaide`s Advertiser to promote this event that happens every 2nd year. Due to the fact that there would be no one at the Meet the Maker sesions talking about Aluminium guitar making, the organisers decided they would like to use one of the Ali Kat Guitars.
Just Prior to the Guitar Festival I was invited onto 3DFM Radio to talk about the Guitars , I took along two members of Zepporamma to sing and play a couple of guitars.
After the Guitar Festival I was contacted by Channel Ten, for the Show Totally Wild. A fun "How To" kids show, showing how to make stuff .
The Article I wrote for Cruzin Car Magazine, 12 months previous, was finally printed, although it only showed the first 3 guitars I made.
The Editor of Strret Machine Car Magazine Contacts me Next, he said, "We have a picture of your 59 Caddy Guitar and we would Like to use it in our Rocktober Edition " I said I have several other car guitars you might like to know about, and yes that would be awesome. They did a two page spread in one of the most well known car magazines, that I read as a Kid.
Channel 7 Got wind of the story that there was someone in Adelaide hand making guitars that didn`t even play guitar. within less than a week they came filmed and aired a 3 1/2 minute story for Adelaide`s Today Tonight. Prime Time..TV.
