This process we use as a decorative architectral finish on door handles, fittings and beer founts. I made the guitar in Steel rather than Ali, as it shortened the processes required to plate. After copper plating, a black oxide finish is electroplated onto the metal. This is then rubbed back in areas to reveal the copper, the clear laquered.
