I am very proud to have local Blues Legend, Chris Finnen not only live pretty near to me, but always keen to help out and play my guitars, his music sends chills down my spine, A wonderfully tallented generous man. Quite rightly, recongnized recently for his contribution to music, by being inducted into the International Blues Hall of Fame.
Chris kindly agreed to write some songs and go into the recording studio for me here in Adeliade, along with Michael Winters on Double Bass and the Ali Kat Chevy Bass, and Andy Spy on Drums, Both from the Band Raunchy Sugar.
The CD will Be Titled either " Ali Kat Guitar Boogie Shuffle OR Zing it up and Down "
The CD Showcases the Deluxe Chevy in many ways, through a mixture of Blues, Folk Rock and Rockabilly. The only Non Chevy Guitar was the Green Telekat that Chris Now Owns, The song he wrote, " Gonna Zing it up and Down" has the craziest Slide Blues I have heard,and was very well received by the Adelaide Lady Strollers..
Chris recently came and played for me as Channel 7 Filmed the guitars, Chris and Myself for the Adelaide international Guitar Festival, where Chris is the main act on the Friday Night. Opening his show with the Green Goddess Telekat.
